About the game

What is Guessy Kids?

A charades style party game for phones, designed for children. The puzzles are colorful pictures, you hold the phone to your forehead, and everyone else acts them out or describes them.

What age is it for?

Roughly three and up, since no reading is involved. There is no real upper limit, grandparents enjoy it just as much.

How many players?

Two at a minimum. Four or more is best, and at a party ten children can act out the same card together.

How long does a game last?

A round is 30 seconds, adjustable up to 90 with Premium. A typical family session is about ten minutes.

Content and languages

How many puzzles are there?

399 picture puzzles across nine categories. Animals alone holds 96 cards.

Which languages are supported?

33, including English, German, Hungarian, Spanish, French and Polish. You can change the language in settings at any time.

Can I make my own cards?

Yes, with Premium. Pick photos from your library or type in words and they become a custom category.

Is new content coming?

Yes, the app is updated regularly and seasonal categories appear around holidays.

Technical questions

What device do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 17.6 or later, or an Android phone. Tilt controls use the built in motion sensor on both.

Do I need internet?

Not to play. A connection is only used for purchases and for ads in the free version.

Why is the screen landscape?

Because a phone on a forehead sits sideways, and landscape gives the biggest possible picture. The orientation is locked.

Is there an Android version?

Yes, it is available on Google Play with exactly the same content as the iPhone version.

Purchases and accounts

Is the app free?

The download is free and the Animals category is unlimited. Everything else comes with Premium.

How do I cancel a subscription?

On iPhone in the Settings app under your Apple Account, on Android in Google Play under Subscriptions. It stays active until the end of the period.

I got a new phone, what about my purchase?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore previous purchase.

Do I need to register?

No. There is no account, no registration and no email address to hand over.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose anything if I delete the app?

Custom categories and favorites live on the device, so they go with it. Premium access is tied to your Apple or Google account and can be restored after reinstalling.

Can it be used in a classroom or nursery?

Yes, and plenty of teachers already use picture card games this way. One phone is enough, since the whole group sees the screen when the teacher holds it.

What should I do if I find a bug?

Write to us through the contact page. Telling us your device model and iOS version makes fixes much faster.

Can I suggest a new category?

Please do, we read every suggestion. Most new categories started as an idea from a parent.
